GLOBAL WASTE PICKERS DAY PROGRAM.

Greetings from TakaNiAjira Foundation! We are raising funds for our Global Waste Pickers Day Program 2022-2023. Global Waste Pickers Day is a date set on the 1st of March every year to celebrate, recognise and appreciate waste pickers and waste workers around the world. This day became a global day to honour these groups by carrying out different activities related to recycling and to recognise waste pickers’ work. These groups play a vital role in the recycling and waste management sector. However, their rights and work status are constantly at risk around the globe. Our vision of this Global Waste Pickers Day Tanzania 2023 is to recognise and appreciate our waste pickers and waste workers.
